“Great location and expected (for Hampton) clear and decent facilities. Poor experience due to: Unfriendly receptionists and manager on duty, terrible breakfast, hidden costs for pets at checkout (not announced prior to checkout). Manager on duty claimed pets not allowed AT CHECKOUT. At the time the booking was made via booking.com the hotel was allowing pets and no additional charges were announced. Special request was used to announce we arrive with pet - no objections. We were welcomed at arrival with dog, but at checkout we were told that actually the hotel does not allow dogs and we are in violation... ""What the hack?!?". No explicit accidents with the dog or whatsoever. I wouldn't mind the cleaning fee if properly announced, but the folks on the reception are ridiculously arrogant and not accurate. I have not expected that I can meet such personnel in Hilton hotel ... sad sad”

“The location of the hotel is pretty convenient with a tram stop just across the road as well as the s-bahn close by. With that said, the trams can get quite noisy especially if you're on the lower floors facing the main road. The breakfast buffet is pretty decent and it's free for all guests. However, the poor experience was due to the unfriendly and cold staff (no smiles, no greetings). Unfortunately, the level of service here really fall short of what you'd expect from Hampton by Hilton. The staff were understandably busy with check-ins but that is no excuse for rudeness. When a mistake was made, a staff who claimed to be the manager on duty acknowledged the mistake and said the staff was busy with check-ins so there was nothing they could do and no apology was made. I felt that the staff could have done better with listening to their customers and helping their guests feel welcomed.”
