This hotel is beautiful. The staff was super accommodating. The room was pretty but very small (as an American with family of 4). The location is ideal to walk out and shop and eat. It goes on forever with choices. We chose this location for ease of access to the cruise ship port nearby. The city is gorgeous. One of my new favorites.

I would like to personally express happiness with Mr Ibrahim (I suppose breakfast manager/supervisor?) who has walked an extra mile not only for us but also he paid extra attention to other guests during their breakfast. Making a real bartender cappuccino made our breakfast memorable. This is how the hotel team should work. Such details make clients' day. GM, appreciate this man!

Great location to the Central train station and many restaurants and shops. Lovely room with a nice walk-in shower.Although not a problem for us, there were stairs from the bathroom to the main room. We were along the canal with restaurants and it was a little noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. These aren't complaints, I'm simply mentioning so you can inquire about the room details when booking.Breakfast buffet was very good.

A perfectly located hotel which delivered. This is a few minutes walk away from the railway station and main attractions. The breakfast was tasty and staff friendly. The only feedback is they need to work on cleanliness of rooms between guests.

The breakfast and staff has been terrific! Extremely lovely people and very helpful staff! Great variety of food and delicious. Last night we went to the restaurant and had the best burger we ever had and again lovely and helpful staff. Everyone has been wonderful! Thank you!

This is an update after numerous stays: Large rooms, especially by European standards. Clean, comfortable, great attention to even the small details. Great location! A quick walk to Dam Plaza or Centraal Station. If possible the staff just seems to be more amazing with every stay. Friendly, helpful, professional - they go completely out of their way to make it a great experience. To any NH regional / corporate staff: You have GREAT group of people working here!!!!!

Un hotel céntrico y con carácter que no te dejará indiferente. Habitaciones únicas y cuidadas, servicio insuperable y una ubicación céntrica. Como pega, no cuenta con servicio de habitaciones por la noche.

Hotel muy bien ubicado en Amsterdam, justo al frente de la estación central y muy cerca caminando de lugares de interés, restaurantes y demás. La atención es muy buena, amables. La habitación muy limpia y cómoda, la cama grande y con varias almohadas para escoger, el baño es amplio. El desayuno tipo buffet, ha estado bien, con variedad (salado, dulce y frutas). El hotel dispone de todas las comodidades. Como único punto negativo es que la cafetera de la habitación no funcionaba y lo notificamos en recepción pero no la cambiaron.

Destaca positivamente por su ubicación, es ideal. La cama es muy cómoda. Pero no me sorprendió como 5 estrellas en nada. Es simplemente un buen hotel de ciudad. El baño bastante pequeño y el servicio de desayuno algo lento.

I stayed at Barbizon Palace for one night on a Friday. We had some lovely cocktails in Bottles & Jars, followed by a 3-course meal. The personnel was very hospitable and accommodating to our wishes. Our room on the 5th floor overlooked the central station with a lovely view at nighttime. Very comfortable and large beds delivered a wonderful sleep. A large continental buffet at breakfast the following morning rounded of a lovely stay! Special mention to Ibrahim, Lucia, Eva and Edda for making this a memorable stay.

No tiene la categoría que se le supone a un 5 estrellas. Incomprensible que nadie hable otro idioma aparte de el idioma del país e inglesa.Ni francés, español , italiano... Si pides una habitación tranquila te la dan junto al ascensor.Concretamente la 171, no tiene ni lamparita individual para poder leer en la cama,si lo quieres hacer,tienes que encender todas las luces de la habitación.El desayuno normalito ,pero los camareros muy amables. En fin un tres estrellas sería su calificación. Lo mejor la situación.

El mejor trato que he recibido en un hotel sin duda. Hotel de la cadena NH ubicado en el puro centro a un paso de todo, habitaciones cómodas y amplias y desayuno espectacular. El edificio es imponente y se ve desde la estación central. Trato de 10!
