“I gave this hotel 4 stars because it's basically a beautiful hotel and i give them credit for having a hard time keeping it up during the pandemic. The only downside was a fire alarm went off at 5 am which drove us out of our rooms into the hall where we milled around aimlessly not knowing whether to evacuate or not! There was no announcement of any kind so after awhile we went back to bed but i know myself and others couldn't go back to sleep. Later on i asked front desk staff why there was no announcement and they said they didn't know of a way to make one, in fact they didn't know there had been an alarm and had no idea why it went off. A major hotel chain should think about a way to mass communicate to guests, especially concerning such a thing as fire safety, just sayin'.”

“While the hotel overall was nice, we had issues with the electronic door lock not working and the hotel was unable to call in a maintenance person to fix the lock that evening.One of us had to remain in the room for the evening to make sure we could still access the room.While we understand that things break or batteries wear out, this is something the hotel should have been able to fix in a timely manner.This happened to us once before at a different hotel, and the hotel management called in maintenance to fix the door in a timely manner.This was not done at this hotel.”
